This unit is intended to pay out cables and rope from drums.
The pay-out drum is mounted on a load-bearing shaft and lifted by means of hydraulic jacks. After mounting, the drum is centred by means of conical centring bushes. The shaft is additionally equipped with a driving pivot entered into a drum drive hole. It is used to transfer braking torque from the friction brake onto the drum.
The braking torque is adjusted with a handwheel tightening the braking clamp around the shaft end. Load-bearing supports of the shaft are mounted on rolling bearings.
